Playtime Ranks — Earn Rewards Just by Playing

The simplest progression system on MARKIII-RUST is also one of the most rewarding. Playtime Ranks track your total hours on the server and automatically unlock rewards as you hit milestones. No grinding, no quests, no special tasks — just play the game and watch the perks roll in.

How It Works

From the moment you join MARKIII-RUST, your playtime is being tracked. As you accumulate hours, you automatically progress through 20 ranks. Each rank comes with new perks: better kits, additional permissions, chat titles, and bonus features that make your experience progressively better.

The system is completely passive. You don't need to activate anything or remember to claim rewards. When you hit a new rank threshold, you're notified in chat and the new perks are immediately available.

What Makes Kits Better at Higher Ranks?

Each rank tier improves the kit you can claim (typically on a cooldown). Newcomer kits give you basic tools and some food — enough to get started. By the time you reach Veteran, your kit includes weapons, armor, building materials, and medical supplies. Elite and above get kits that rival what you'd loot from a Hard raidable base.

The kits aren't meant to replace gameplay — they're meant to reduce the tedious early-wipe grind for experienced players. If you've put in 100+ hours on the server, you shouldn't have to spend the first two hours of every wipe farming wood with a rock. The kit gets you past that and into the content you actually enjoy.

Extra Permissions

Beyond kits, higher ranks unlock gameplay permissions. More home teleport points mean less running across the map. Queue priority means you get in faster during peak times after wipe day. Backpack upgrades give you more inventory space for longer farming runs.

These quality-of-life improvements are the real value of playtime ranks. They respect your time investment and make the server experience smoother the more you play.

Stacking with VIP

Playtime rank perks stack with VIP packages from the store. If you're a Veteran rank player with a VIP package, you get the benefits of both. This means VIP is never a replacement for playtime investment — it's an addition to it. Free players who put in the hours will always have access to strong perks through playtime alone.
