Raidable Bases — 900+ PVE Raids

Raidable bases on MARKIII-RUST PVE server

Raiding is one of Rust's core experiences, and on MARKIII-RUST you get all the thrill without the grief. Our Raidable Bases system spawns over 900 unique NPC-defended bases across the map for you to assault, loot, and conquer — all while your own base stays completely safe.

Whether you're a fresh spawn looking for easy loot or a geared veteran hunting Nightmare-tier bases for Havoc components, this guide has you covered.

How Raidable Bases Work

Raidable bases are AI-controlled structures that spawn dynamically around the map. Each one is defended by NPCs that will shoot on sight. Your job is to breach the base, eliminate the defenders, and crack open the loot containers inside.

You can raid them exactly like you'd raid a player base in vanilla Rust — use explosives, fire arrows, jackhammers, whatever gets you through the walls. The difference is that these bases are designed to be raided, with loot scaled to match the difficulty of the defences.

Once a base is fully raided (all loot containers opened), it despawns after a short cooldown and a new one spawns elsewhere on the map. The cycle is constant — there are always bases available to raid.

Difficulty Tiers

Every raidable base falls into one of four difficulty tiers, visually identified by a coloured dome or marker on the map. The tiers determine everything: NPC count, NPC accuracy, wall strength, trap density, and loot quality.

Raiding Strategies

Easy Bases — The Starter Farm

Easy bases are perfect for new players. The NPCs are slow to react and inaccurate, and the walls are weak enough to break with basic tools. A couple of satchel charges or a jackhammer will get you inside quickly. The loot won't make you rich, but it's a steady source of components and basic resources to get you established.

Medium Bases — The Sweet Spot

Medium bases are where most players spend their time. The NPCs are competent enough to punish careless play, but manageable with decent gear. The loot takes a significant step up — you'll find weapons, armor, and enough resources to fund your next few raids. These are the most efficient bases for consistent farming.

Hard Bases — Bring Friends

Hard bases are serious business. The NPCs hit hard and there are a lot of them. Traps are common — watch for landmines, shotgun traps, and flame turrets. The reward is worth it though: Hard bases are the most reliable source of Havoc components outside of special events. Bring a teammate or two and plenty of meds.

Nightmare Bases — Endgame Content

Nightmare bases are designed to challenge even fully geared players. Expect 20+ NPCs with near-perfect aim, heavily reinforced walls, and dense trap layouts. These bases are the only reliable source of Havoc Elite components — the rarest crafting materials on the server. Most players tackle these in groups of 3-4 with full Havoc gear.

Loot Breakdown

What Drops Where

Easy: Wood, stone, metal frags, basic components, low-tier weapons (revolvers, waterpipes)

Medium: Semi-auto rifles, Thompson, road sign armor, tech trash, rifle bodies, decent scrap

Hard: AKs, LRs, metal armor sets, Havoc I and II components, large scrap amounts

Nightmare: Havoc III and Elite components, exclusive blueprints, custom skins, massive resource stacks

Tips for Maximum Efficiency

Always check the map before heading out. Bases are colour-coded, so you can plan a route that hits multiple bases in one trip. Many experienced players do "raid runs" — looping across the map hitting every base of their target difficulty.

Bring a building plan and some wood. You can build raid towers to get over walls without using explosives, saving your boom for the inner loot rooms. This works on Easy and Medium bases where the walls aren't armoured.

Invest in Havoc tools early. A Havoc jackhammer absolutely shreds base walls and makes soft-side raiding viable on lower-tier bases. The time saved adds up enormously over a wipe.

Don't ignore the workbenches inside raided bases. Many bases contain tier 2 and tier 3 workbenches that you can use to research any blueprints you've found before the base despawns.
